About me

I was born and raised in Philadelphia where I spent much of my time exploring the nearby Wissahickon Valley Park and riding longboards down the winding roads of my neighborhood. I started my first real sketchbook when I was in high school and used drawing as a way to put my imagination down on paper. It wasn’t until I took an abstract painting class during my sophomore year of college that I felt like art was something I wanted to pursue more seriously. I spent the fall of 2022 in Florence, Italy where I took studio and art history classes through Syracuse University. It was this experience that allowed me to see myself as an artist for the first time and would forever change my relationship to art.

About my work

As an artist I seek to translate my own experiences and perceptions of the world into a visual form that I can share with others. My goal when making most of my artwork is to document the physical representation of a time and place as well as express the emotional qualities of my experience through color and style. The content of my work will sometimes come strictly from reality or my imagination, but often it is a mixture of the two. I love to build worlds, create characters, and tell stories in my work.

I have shown work in Florence, Italy in a Syracuse University exhibition in the fall of 2022. I’ve had work shown in student art fairs at Bates College where I am working to achieve a degree in Studio Art. In the spring of 2024 I had my senior thesis exhibition in the Bates College Museum of Art where I displayed a collection of oil paintings and driftwood sculptures.
